FAQ

What is a Public Adjuster

A Public Adjuster (or PA) is an independent insurance professional (one that does NOT work for any insurance company) whom a policyholder may hire that advocates for the policyholder to help settle an insurance claim on his or her behalf. Public Adjusters are also called PAs, Public Insurance Adjusters or Public Insurance Claims Adjusters.

How much does your Public Adjuster service cost me?

There is no out-of-pocket cost to you.  Our fee is usually 10% of any NEW money we're able to get the insurance company to pay you.

Example1: Your insurance company originally tries to settle a hail claim for you at $8000.00 and we're able to get them to pay for a new roof valued at $25,000.00 + $5,000 repairs for other damages (gutters, downspouts, outdoor shed, fence, etc.), for a NEW total of $30,000.00. Our fee would be 10% of the NEW money ($22,000.00) or $2200.00.

Example2: Using Example 1 again - only this time your insurance company denies your entire claim. The NEW money would be $30,000.00 and our fee would be $3,000.00.

Example3: After inspection, we find the insurance company's estimate and claim settlement to you to be honest and fair - you owe us nothing.

How long before I receive payment from the insurance company?

The short answer is: approximately 3 months.  However, it can take longer or be shorter in duration.

Can the insurance company deny the claim again?

Yes. No matter how buttoned up the claim file is; no matter if the file is thorough and undeniable; no matter if we've crossed every "t" and dotted every "i," some insurance companies just will not admit that they do indeed owe the insured payment.

Do I have recourse if the insurance company denies the claim again?

Yes. Our Public Adjuster service has attorneys that will litigate the claim for you.  This is rare and, if this were to happen to you, we would go through and explain that process with you at that time. It's not anything to be concerned about up front as, again, it rarely occurs.

What is the process and how do I get started?
